At Valley Credit Union we understand the importance of youth in our community! During the month of April we have a heavy focus on the youth by awarding scholarships, a Youth Certificate promo, The Hive and so much more. Read through the entire eNewsletter to catch up on what we are up to!
This is the last week to open a Youth Certificate before the promo ends. Below are the details on our Youth Certificate:
Come watch some of the brightest entrepreneurial minds from our local high schools compete as they pitch their business ideas to a panel of local business people. Valley will be awarding $5,000 to 1st place to get their business going. Northern Hotel will be awarding $1,500 to 2nd and $1,000 to 3rd! Plus, the Supporting Sponsors will be donating resources to help get the business started!
This event is tomorrow, April 27th at 2:30pm at the Babcock Theatre. It is FREE to the public, so we hope to see you there!
Throughout the 2021-2022 school year, Valley Credit Union and The Billings Gazette have featured 32 seniors chosen from high schools in our area. These students, nominated by a teacher, counselor, or principal, have shown a clear career path for their future in the form of an industry certification, technical associate degree, city college, trade school, or apprenticeship. And, as the school year comes to an end, Valley will be awarding one $5,000 grant to a deserving student.
Congratulations to each and every one of the Valleydictorian featured students as you get ready to graduate and embark on your next journey. Thank you to all the high school faculty for your nominations and to the graduated for sharing with us your interests, your goals, and your stories.
Thank you to all of our wonderful members who helped make our Diaper Drive a huge success! We collected diapers to donate to local nonprofits in your communities for the month of March. In total we were able to collect and donate 6,380 diapers and 1,360 wipes! Valley is proud to be involved in the communities we serve, helping make them a better place to live.
Scholarship Winners
The Midland Empire Chapter of Credit Unions have awarded $1,000 scholarships to the following three students: Elizabeth D (Political Science), Nancy D (Masters in Public Administration) and Greta S (Engineering).
